Ford S-Max Fog light problem

Featured Replies

Fog light is not working on driver's side. All other lights working perfectly.

When car is put into reverse gear the fog light on driver's side comes on but goes off again when taken out of reverse.

Anyone any suggestions on how to fix this problem or diagnose the issue?

I thought the S-Max like many Fords only has one Rear Fog light and one Reverse light ?

Are you saying the reverse light and rear fog light are crossed over ?

My S-Max has twin reversing lamps although a previous Ford Focus had only one reverse and one foglamp. The bulbs and light fittings were there for dual lamps but, presumably to save a bit of wiring only the offside lamps were connected. On that car I just dropped a wire from the working side to the non-working side and brought symmetry to the rear of the car.

My Apologies. I thought I had replied back in 2022. As suggested, one rear light and one fog light so wasn't actually an issue as I thought...
