I purchased a Ford Focus st line in January there is just under 21k on the clock. 2 days ago EML came on so checked with my code reader fault code P0240 came up. Does anyone know if this could just be a sensor or faulty CAT. Also I have 12 M warranty with dealer I bought it from I’ve been told it may not cover Cat as it’s on exhaust system. I would be glad of some expert advice. Thanks

    Sounds like a faulty sensor, as you are under warranty, take it back

    Cat is just not performing because sensor is faulty, usually the first 02 sensor from the engine (pre cat)
