Windscreen washer nozzle replacement

Featured Replies

Am looking for a simple washer nozzle replacement, however it's proving more difficult than I first thought! (2005 Mk2 focus) I just want a standard twin nozzle (not a fan spray), and many of the replacements I find on Ebay state that despite them looking  what I'm after, if mine use a gasket, they won't fit! Am totally confused. Even looking at 'genuine' Ford ones, they seem to be a fan spray, not twin nozzled. Help needed... LOL

Is it heated Stephen, or just a jet ?

Having added heated jets to a (proper) Puma, and the Fiesta, that I raided from a scrappy, I think I still have some heated ones, don't know about the plain ones I removed.  I had intended to fit them to the Fusion, but the bonnet reinforcement gets in the way.

LOL, heated? Bless, mine is the absolute basic LX, lucky it came with just standard jets in the 1st place!

I'll see if I have some plain ones when I next go into the garage.

I'm sure I had heated washer jets in my Xr4x4s, and that was about 35 years ago !

I can't see any reason for the difference either.  Maybe drop the ebay seller a message to ask why they won't fit?

The only possibility I can see is that obviously they're designed to fit tightly within the bonnet orifice - the extra 0.5mm or whatever of a gasket may prevent it fitting the hole.  That's really just a guess though!

What I do know is that these were notorious for leaking on top of the engine/spark plugs causing running issues.  If yours aren't leaking, I'd probably leave them well alone myself!

The LHS one is leaking and I always get water stains on the bonnet, hence my desire to change them... I know there is an issue hence my desire to replace with 'new' as used ones may already have that inherent fault.

Tried Aliexpress or the like ???????

Just bought FOCUE suggestion, missed it in my Ebay search!

So you won't want any of these:

How did I amass a dozen !

2 Ordinary double jet with gasket released from the Fiesta

2 New heated Spray

2 S/H Heated Spray,

6 S/H Heated double Jet (one on a loom, and one with leads cut off !

Whenever I have fitted washer jets, I always plaster Waxoyl around the hole.
