Oil leaks can be tricky buggers to trace. It's not often that the stain on your driveway directly correlates to the position of the leak, in other words, it's rare that gravity will drop the oil directly on your driveway right where it has leaked from. It had probably traveled a path in you engine before dropping. You'd be much wiser looking from the engine top and look for signs of oil to give you a head start where it is originating from. You could guess forever, much better to check visually...

I think your car is a 1.6 EcoBoost from memory?  Check the coolant level before driving it again if you haven't already.

The early 1.6EB's don't have a low coolant warning, so when they lose coolant they can overheat and blow the headgasket or crack the head/block...in the case of an external crack, you may not notice a difference in performance straight away but it will leak oil.  In some cases that can lead to fire if it hits the hot exhaust.  There was a recall to add a low coolant warning but some cars will have missed that due to change of ownership or house moves etc.

Hopefully it's not that, so I agree with Stephen, we really can't guess at the oil leak from a ground drip as it will have run across the undertray before hitting the floor.  On the plus side, there's no PAS fluid on these, so it can only be gear or engine oil there...

Thanks for the advise.  Yep i did  get the recall for the warning light for the coolant.  Do you guys think its worth replacing the Rocker Cover?

Only if it's confirmed as leaking.
