P24c6 code

Hi,

I have a 2018 1.5tdci focus showing this error code, any ideas how to fix it the car has just over 20,000 miles on the clock.

after googling, it sounds like you have a faulty sensor.

Thank you

Not an expert but according to Uncle Google it could the diesel particulate filter (DPF). As it's a diesel have you tried giving it a blast up and down the motorway to see if it clears?

Been told it maybe a software issue as after having the car scanned there are faults in every module, would an update help solve this.

Can you give us the exact fault list?

It's not a common fault code and not one I've come across before.

Lots of fault codes could point to a wiring issue, but more likely to be a weak battery.

Module updates are generally individually done to solve specific issues.  If you have faults in every module, I doubt an update will help.

Can bus connectivity faults can throw up dtcs in multiple modules but they are not dated so could be historic if not cleared.

far too new for the ic solder issues - would show u1900 or similar amongst them.

Low 12v battery state of charge can affect modules thus showing faults. First and easiest thing to rule out.

Just reading up on P24-c6 code, it apparently refers to the particulate matter sensor for DPF regeneration . If your car does not get long runs i e 20 mins on motorway regularly, this could lead to failed regens and soot build up .

good luck in sorting it

The ford garage scanned it today and said its the matter sensor part number f2355116 just drove to Oxford and back 500 mile round trip and it ran fine. Still thinks it's the dpf pressure sensor as that what mine an a independent garage scanner said it was.

Is it a Mk3 or Mk4?  That part number doesn't show on the Mk3 parts catalogue.  But appears to be a lambda type sensor used on the Mk4's from another source.

Can be seen better here, hanging down from the top of the picture.  I would assume it's bolted to the bulkhead somewhere behind the engine if you want to try and find it, just to make sure the plug is tight, clean and dry.

The Mk4 diesel does not need a blast up the motorway to clear the dpf.
