S-max 2.0tdci cutting out P1647 code

Featured Replies

Hi all, we have a S-max 2.0tdci 210bhp powershift, that randomly either goes into limp mode untill i restart it and is then fine no codes stored, or cuts out and stores a code of P1647 - O2 sensor... when either issue occures it tends to happen when we accelarate hard for example when overtaking another car most of the time happens on the motorway!! Sometimes it can be 10mins into a journey or 5 hours in and some days its ok... its been 3 weeks since it last did it!

Has anyone had this issue? Have been told it could be anything from pcm module to oil pressure sensor to solenoids.. any help would be appreciated, it is booked in to a specialist but have a wait.

Also has had new powershift box fitted 3k miles ago.

Kind regards

Did you get to the bottom of what was causing the problem. My galaxy cuts out, and throws up the same code, as it happens.
thank you
