Of course not. !!!

On an Ecoboost engine the message is very misleading. It should really say "game over" new engine required.

The 1.5's aren't as problematic as the early 1.0/1.6 for coolant issues.  Though I vaguely remember reading about a few having 'unexplained' internal leaks that ultimately ends with engine replacement.

Best advice I can offer at the moment is to look very carefully for an external leak, in the hope that there is one!  If not, it's unlikely to be a cheap fix.  Given the age of the car, I assume there's no warranty on it (either extended Ford or aftermarket)?

Yes, possibly one on this thread but we don't know the outcome:

are they made in germany ?

if so prob just keeping up with all the rubbish made there

stop start and plasticine single roller cam chains, alongside self destructing steel pistons on the merc tractors

VAG been using chocolate pistons since 2014

BMW with electric water pumps that just stop

ford using second hand heat treated springs from a biro in the oil pump relief valves, wet belts designed to self destruct for fun, and special cylinder heads designed to crack between the water jacket and the exhaust ports so you can't see where the coolant went

Nope.  Mostly made in the UK, along with the 1.0 EcoBoost...
