Focus MK3.5 - 1.6 Fuel Smell

Featured Replies

Hello,

New to the forum and new to owning a ford.

I currently have a 2016 focus MK3.5 Titanium Powershift 1.6 and I'm hoping you can help me with an issue?

When I start the car in the morning (cold start) there is a very strong smell of petrol, more than I'd expect and then happens everytime I start the car.

There are no fuel leaks anywhere, AA checked it out. I've looked all the way back to the filler, I've changed the plugs and it's got a full service history.

Ive booked it into a garage for a check up but wondered if anyone else might have an idea?

Thanks in advance,

Liam
