air/boost leak

Featured Replies

Im getting a slight "hiss" noise when the Turbo starts to spool up on my 2014 PFL MK3 ST250, The car has had oil chnages every 6000 miles im assuming its a leak the turbo pipe/intercooler pipe circuit somehwere as it only is hear when the Turbo starts to "kick-in". It also seems to improve of even dissapear when the vehicle is warmed through. Ive checked as many Jubille pipe clips as i can.  Having seen various YT videos on testing for air leaks, using an airline and a modified seal/valve where you can hear the air escaping when Compressed air is applied to one end etc etc etc.

Has anyone done a successful air Leak test on a MK3 ST250 Ecbboost, and if so where would the best place to connect the "blank off" peice, and also the actual compredded air intake.
