Has anyone seen anything about a map update lately? I'm still on F10 and Sync 3.0

    Thanks, at least that’s progress but I’d rather use the official Ford process

    Than hou have to wait. It can take a while until the F11 maps will be released. The maps are usually released in stages. Not all owners are offered the maps at the same time. It can take months before the F1q map update is offered the official way.

    Ford stopped support for Sync 3 devices with software version 3.0. Owners with such a device will not be offered any newer software versions the official way. Sync 3 devices with software version 3.0 however are perfectly capable to run later software (for example software version 3.4). This however requires third party applications like the Cyanlabs Syn3updater.

     

    The Cyanlabs Syn3updater uses official Ford Sync 3 software and map updates. The required files are directly downloaded from the Ford servers by the Syn3updater program and installed on the Sync 3 device using official format and installation methods.

    The Syn3updater actually offers format and installation methods that are not offered by Ford. This makes it possible to install the latest software versions on unsupported devices, downgrade to a previous software versions (not all software versions are an improvement) or install specific countries map material instead of the complete region.
