Electric window problems

Featured Replies

Hi, I've recently purchased a 2006 fusion, the passenger window will only go down and not up, I have replaced the motor and the switch but still no improvement, any ideas anyone? Thank you

either loom from door to pillar, cables snap inside the insulation i believe and a common occurance....

OR the drivers side switch i believe is interlinked to the passenger side switch.

I haven't had the problem yet

The master switch is on the drivers side. A fault with that switch can stop the passenger side window operating correctly.

Hi everyone, just an update after purchasing a motor and 2 switches, 1 for either side, still can't get it to work! In this weather am really missing it, any other ideas suggestions? Please and thank you.

What is your exact issue... just to clarify ?

Passengers window will not go up?

Is drivers side ok - up and down ?

replaced both door switches, and passenger side motor ?

You will need a multimeter, which can be used to measure continuity (resistance / ohms).

Do you have a wiring diagram ?

The "Up" limit switch might be open circuit ?
