2016 Focus 1.6 Powershift - shaking at idle

Featured Replies

Hello,

Have a 2016 focus Powershift, which vibrates/shakes when idling.

Clutch replaced at 35000 miles and only does it when in neutral/park.

It just feels rough, any thoughts?

Thanks.

I have the powershift 2014 but never experienced this only slipping and juddering but was fixed with the clutch pack being changed, so the car feels rough only when you put the selector in N or P? sometimes going into P or N for me can be a little rough but never bad enough for me to be concerned and apparently is just normal especially when on a incline etc and the fact a computer controls everything on the powershift.

Was it doing it before the clutch change? maybe they messed something up? as automatic gearboxes are alot more complicated to do, honestly don't think anyone on here will be able to help so its best you just take it to a garage and have them repeat whatever it is you're doing to get the issue so it can be fixed.

Thank you for the reply.

The vibration before the clutch pack was changed was really bad, so much better now and I don't think it's to do with the gearbox. If I turn Aircon on the revs build ever so slightly and the vibration goes away. Maybe it could be a frequency thing?

Thank for the advice, it's booked in next week to be looked at.

Thank you
