Hi I've Arrived

Featured Replies

Hi all,

first a thanks to all of you who have posted, I have beed avidly reading them all to get a good grip on the fiesta, so much so last week I picked up a frozen white 1.4 Zetec 3dr! (averaging 41.1 mpg after 600 miles)

Pretty stock as it is, happy with that for the moment apart from the obligatory mats, boot liner and scuff plates I have fitted. Over the next few months though I'm sure there will be a few tasteful (in my eyes) mods carried out, this is what I'm looking at:

  1. Get the rearview mirror off and colour code it to the car, did it on my MX-5 and looked OK
  2. Having looked at the foot rest, guess I'm going to have to put something there to stop the carpet wearing away, probably the same stuff I'll put as a heel pad on the stock Ford removable mats I have so it all matches .. now where is all my aluminium
  3. The sunglasses holder that one of the guys on here did, top idea .... got the part already in anticipation
  4. In the two recesses in the boot, just aft of the wheel arch I'm going to put some elasticated netting across to hold items in there, can't find one to fit yet so may have to make a frame up to hold some of the elastic. Bummer is they are different sizes on each side!
  5. Perhaps ..... I also have a Scangauge II, may see if it will look good anywhere? Maybe a mounting under the stereo in that cubby hole thing?
  6. I have a few cans of Dinitrol hanging around, on a nice day I may as well use them up

But before all of that, got to drop it into my local dealer to have the exhaust sorted! Looks like it's busted a seam at the lower front end of the back box so's sounding very sporty ....

MODS ... I have no affiliation to Scangauge or Dinitrol .... just put the links so people can see research for themselves and saves me having to explain what they are (i get sore fingers typing :-) )

Is this the one that can be fitted instead of a grabhandle to the driver's side?

If so there is no current grabhandle in mine.. Are there in other peoples and if so i guess the holes are jsut hidden behind my roof lining?

And do you have a part number?

Thanks
