Rear light wiring

Featured Replies

I have NEVER been able to follow wiring diagrams, got my new [to me] 2009 and had them vinyl wrapped rear lights to go in my 2007 and the sockets are different, ive bought the brighter LED bulbs ready. Local leccies want 2hrs at £80 an hour. I'd do it myself splicing  BUT all the damn wires are black. HELP.

and now you know why they wanted 2 hours at £80 per.

Are you good with a multimeter ? You will need to trace out the path of each wire to each lamp. Use masking tape to mark each wire as you work out what each one does. Take photos after you mark each wire and BEFORE you disconnect them, at least then you can always go back if you make a mistake.

thats the plan, luckily the 2009 still have to body bung bit so only 4 outs as opposed to all wires to each bulb holder should make it simpler. I dont object to paying to have it done not at £80 an hour, daylight robbery to me.
