Problem with drivers wing mirror indicator.

Featured Replies

Hi folks. Just quick query... Drivers door mirror indicator not working... (Actually don't know even if it was working before). Checked connectors and bulb. Bulb is fine(replaced from other side) and connectors ar in place. What to look first for? Would it be common problem wiring go bad in door wiring gator... Where wires goes from body to door.?

Or there is something else to look?

All the rest indicators working fine.. Drivers side front and back and all three on pasanger side.

Thanks.

Does the electric window on that side work? If not it will be the box of tricks inside the door panel  that the can bus tells the door electrics what to do. We had this on a fiesta all electrics in the passenger door failed. Cost -  not to bad to resolve the part was from memory around £90- £10o plus labour from our local mobile auto electrician.

Hi. Everything works as should... Central locking system, electric window... Just indicator is not working..

Wonder it have separate fuse.... Or maybe wiring went bad in gator between doors and body...

Probably will have to strip down everything to find the problem.

It doesn't have a separate fuse.

Door wiring sounds most likely in this case.  Give the loom a shake with the hazards on on you may find it briefly makes the circuit again.

Hi guys, bit delayed on this one, so far I have discovered with that indicator on mirror is, that apparently indications signal goes through different circuits(I've checked all wires, all sound and power goes through), as I have fully stripped drivers door wiring, and discovered that indicating signal goes in to drivers mirror control motor, and does not comes out. If joint wire from there  straight to indicator, then when using mirror, indicators comes up... So would it be a reason that because of mirror motor controller (or something on board)  is gone ,but motor itself working(actually defrost is not working on it and rear window defrost is not working), would be a reason why that indicator not working?

Haven't chance get another complete mirror yet.

Thanks.
