rev/ top speed limit

hi i have recently brought a 2003 ford focus lx i took it out for a late drive as was interested in top speed but the revs stop at just past 4 and speed goes no higher than 103/105mph is there away to remove the limiter and if so how?

That's not an electronic limiter...it's just limited by the lack of power! :laugh:

Yes, don't know whether we are talking a 1.4 or 1.6 here, but I think even new the max mph was about 105 for the 1.4 and maybe another 10mph for the 1.6 given a (very) long straight. Though I'm sure none of us would endorse the OPs "experiment" anyway.
