id like to get a new head unit but i want android with built in dab for mk 2 fl  has any body bought one any good ? dont want one that has the dab box externally

    i just want to buy one thats going to be good ive got one i bought an xtron that i tried but took it out as dab never worked properly. would a android 11.0 be better ?

    I’ve got an Ownice android head unit, supposedly Android 10 and has DAB working via a dongle but seems ok. With some advice from helpful chaps on here I was able to plumb it in to the original Ford DAB antenna instead of using a windscreen mounted aerial - not sure if these are problematic sometimes. 
     

    After all the faffing to get the DAB working, the one radio station intend to listen to on FM doesn’t come up for my DAB region anyhow 🙄

    The older the android the slower it is but doubt it would cure the dab problem. Even the built in dab in the MK3 can be rubbish at times.

    my car has a dab head unit and its pretty good certain spots it losses signal but not a lot

    Yes mines with a dongle - can’t remember if there was a DAB version of my head unit when I got it, was maybe put off thinking I’d need a windscreen antenna when it turned out I didn’t
