2009 Focus CC roof/boot issue

Featured Replies

HI all!

I've had my Focus CC for a year now, and it's worked flawlessly until this issue (which is most definitely my own fault).  When I put the roof down at the moment, it goes through the whole process successfully, but when it gets to the closing stage it doesn't seem to lock in place and an error on the dashboard tells me to complete the process.  When it's in this state, the boot also doesn't open.

What I did was attempt to put the roof up with a long box against the dashboard, and as it got most of the way up, the box was pressing against the back window.  Now, when I lower the roof, the drivers side edge very slightly clips the rubber seal on the back casing that sits over the boot (inside the car when the roof is up), so maybe it's an alignment issue?

Hoping this is something I can fix myself, or is at least not overly expensive to repair if it's beyond me.

Thanks in advance!
