Wishbone bolts part numbers / cost

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

My wife's 2013 Fiesta has been making occasional knocking noises when turning over rough ground and the last MOT mentioned slight play in a front wishbone ball joints so I'm wondering if it's that that's got worse.

Just planning a DIY replacement and whilst I can source the wishbone easily enough I'm struggling tracking down the two fixing bolts and the pinch bolt+nut for the ball joint. Does anyone know the FINIS part numbers for these items to help with my searches? Alternatively, does anyone happen to know if they're a reasonable cost item at a main dealer? I'm always hesitant to ask them direct in case I baulk at the price and end up causing offence if I then walk away, particularly if I might have to come back with my tail between my legs having not found an alternative supplier!

Thank you!

I reused the bolts on my daughter's 2013 fiesta.

I thought that was a big no-no given they are stretch bolts?

Just to close this one off, I replaced the wishbone this weekend (although not without some difficulty!) and thought I'd follow up with the part numbers and cost (Ford dealer; couldn't find them anywhere else) in case they're of any use to others.

Qty 1 x Ball Joint Pinch Bolt - M10 x 60mm - FINIS Code 1542515 - £4.96

Qty 1 x Ball Joint Nut - M10 x 1.5 - FINIS Code 1444106 - £2.84

Qty 2 x Wishbone Mounting Bolts - M12 x 73mm - FINIS Code 1588852 - £4.78 each

It seems some (ST model perhaps, but it's somewhat ambiguous) might have an M14 x 79mm bolt (FINIS Code 1766942) for the front (horizontal) fixing but you should be able to spot this in advance as I'd expect it to have a greater-than-15mm head on it (and therefore not match the rear fixing which is common across all models).

Thank you for posting the parts numbers, I'm sure they will be of much help to many who undertake this task in the future. 👍
