Hi when doing the cambelt on an 06 year focus St 225 have seen people adjust up the manual tensioner clockwise an anti clockwise which is correct or is there two different variables

    I've not done one, but looking at the auto tensioner as an example you turn the tensioner clockwise to release tension to fit the locking pin before removing . So I would assume the same with manual tensioner. So giving tension to the belt I would turn anticlockwise until the indicator lines up correctly.
