Guy's help !

Slowly in the past months car has got a strange road noise that comes in at 10 mph and doesn't change with speed same noise like a rattling noise but more like body panel noise ? Difficult to describe!

Smooth road not as loud and when breaking that increases the noise.

Chasing noise I have replaced

Front wheel bearings

Drop links

Top strut bearings both

New drivers side drive shaft

Tie rod ends

Brake pads

Seems more pronounced on drivers side

Could it be diff ? Not a whining noise !

Any ideas

Thanks lee

hi ,

the only thing i can say is i had a rear spring snap, which is common, they snap at any point.

mine snapped at top of the spring which didn't lower the height & you could see it but it rattled,

also thought the rattle was something in the boot, so it was broken for two years & the MOT never

picked it up at the local ford dealership, also the rear seats the springs sit in are paper so they dissolve,

if you check this & if  this is the problem use a suitable replayments like Powerflex Rear Spring Upper Isolator Bushes.

Thanks Obione

Noise is coming from front drivers side

Smooth road surface noise near enough disappears
