Mk 4 Focus auto lamps

I've noticed that when my lights are on (auto or not) the main lights are on as is the a single fog light as indicated with a red arrow in my picture, but when I turn on the actual fog lights the other side comes on as well; I notice that these tiny lights seem too small to have a different light for each, they look they same when 'lights' or 'fog'; it's just that one is off with 'lights' on and both on when 'fog'. Is that a setting I need to change is there something wrong?

Note my chat name relates to my old car, a perfectly good Focus 1.6Tdci Zetec that I bought in 2012 as Diesel was the green future, ten years later I felt compelled to change it as next year the Ulez charges mean I will pay £12.50 a day to drive it!

It should only be lighting up single fogs when you turn the steering wheel. It uses them to give you extra light in to the corner. But if your wheels are straight they should be off
