Space saver wheel

Hi my husband has bought a space saver spare wheel from fords for my 22 plate ford Puma st line X … the only problem is we don’t know how to screw it down as there is no hole in the boot for this … if anyone can help this would be great and if you have this in your boot please could you forward a photo of how your wheel is secured to the boot …. We have been back to fords a few times and they don’t even seem to know many thanks

    Page 405 to 410 of the owners handbook should help answer the question.

    I hope you also bought the lifting jack and the wheel brace. Also if the spare is a steel wheel and your normal wheels are alloy wheels you may also need different lug nuts.

    If you did not get this supplied as a factory option then your car will have been built without the 'threaded securing post'.

    Hi Victoria.

    I am reliably informed that with the new Puma's, the boom box is deeper and should fit the spare wheel and jack, wheel brace etc in the PCD of the wheel. It then stands vertically  the boom box. 

    I fit my spare on top of the boom box on the shelf to the right. The cover then fits over the lot with no fuss.

    Give both a try. Enjoy your Puma.
