Washers not working properly

Featured Replies

Hi, when I use my washers the screen wash is coming out on the back window for both controls, occasionally will come out correctly on the front window, how can I fix this? My thanks in advance

You need to replace the screen wash pump which is part of the tank

Sounds like it's intermittently getting the 12 volts the wrong way round.   Isn't that likely to be a problem caused by the BCM going wrong?

I replaced my washer pump recently - before it totally died it would often only operate one of the front washers but rear worked ok. I think the pair of front washers needs the motor in a better state of health than the rear.

I expect it's the tiny non-return valve inside the pump has failed and is allowing water to get out both ports at the same time.

It could also be caused by the pump rotating the wrong direction as you say, possibly the BCM or even a fault with the stalk switch.
