Ford Protect warranty (adaptive headlamps)

Featured Replies

My Edge is now three years old and I'd like to extend the warranty.  It is not apparent, from reading the website text, that adaptive headlamps are covered.  These units are costly and fragile so I'd like some assurance that they would be fixed or replaced under Ford Protect warranty

Then the only place that you are going to get that assurance is by contacting the warranty company direct and getting them to answer the question. No one here or even at your local Ford dealership can say for sure what is or is not covered. Like you we can make assumptions, but come the day of reckoning they count for nothing.

If someone here had successfully claimed for adaptive headlamp repair, then I'd have my answer.

I have contacted them, I'm awaiting an answer.

Even then I'd not be so sure. Not so very long ago insurance companies covered all glass breakage on a car. This included the front windscreen, side windows, rear screen and for those cars fitted with them, the panoramic glass roof. Now a few years on, and insurance companies no longer include all glass, and many do not cover the panoramic roof at all. You need it in writing from the warranty company and then you will have as much assurance as it is possible to get. Good luck 🤞
