Limp mode

Featured Replies

My Ford Focus 2 litre Zetec S,it was spluttering slightly for a few days, then suddenly went into limp mode, got an orange exclamation mark with message engine service now,no engine management light on.I left it for 5 mins drove home fine no warnings etc,but still spluttering.called AA who plugged in a reader but no codes stored. He could not find anything wrong. It is now doing this everyday now as soon as I hit 70mph.It is not running smooth at all slight jerking as driving.Any ideas ? Im waiting on cide reader to plug in as soon as it happens to see if shows anything

If that's not Forscan, cancel the order and buy a Forscan adapter instead.  Engine malfunction codes without an EML are almost always Ford specific so won't show up on generic OBD readers.
