Hi are the ELM 327 cable for Forscan any good from ebay ?Also it says no CD with this product.What do you need the CD for ? Thanks

    eBay, you pay your money and take your chances to be honest. 

    The drivers for the cable are normally on a CD, your computer may be able to find the drivers automatically or the seller may be able to email them to you. 

    I always recommend visiting tunnelrat electronics (Google for the correct site) as the cables there are top quality. 

    A lot of the cables (even expensive ones) will cause Forscan to throw an error message saying, 'this cable is not compatible and may not show all functions'. You can ignore that in the most part as it's usually just a warning. I'd highly recommend the tunnelrat autoswitching cable as a 'cheaper' option. The one that Forscan recommends is the V-Linker cable, also available from tunnelrat and Amazon.
