How does rain sensor and sunstrip come along? Mk2 1.6 tdci 2008 fl

As head text says, will this be a problem making the sensor not working/detecting properly? Will it be better to use perforated/"fly eye" vinyl for this as the sensor might see through it? As my cousin works with vinyl and wrapping i can get some from him for nothing but i was wondering if anyone has any experience with this. Or should i cut a small hole where the sensor is?

    Cut a small hole or use a thinner sunstrip.

    You won't be able to cover over the sensor mounting plate anyway, you'll have to cut around

    I assumed it would be an external sun strip.  Haven't seen an internal one for ages!

    Correct, to be mounted outside.

    I just studied the location of the sensor now, and if i were to cover that i would cover almost half the windshield with sunstrip 😋
