Water in footwell focus cc 2008

Featured Replies

Footwell on passenger side soaked. I am sure it’s not coming from the roof. And advice greatly received.

*Most advice...

First check is whether it's rain water or coolant.  If you can't tell easily, put a bit of white tissue in it.

First do what Tom suggested to determine whether it's coolant or actual water. Coolant could end up in your footwell if you've got a leaky heater matrix, I expect is what Tom is thinking - great suggestion.

If it is water, and you suspect it's rain water (I have no other source in mind), then I suggest getting a hosepipe and running water over various parts of the exterior, watching for more water to appear in the footwell, in order to track down a location of ingress.
