Auto window reset

Featured Replies

Hi, anybody help with the auto window reset on my 15 focus 1.0 ecoboost ?

Can't seem to reset, the drivers window goes down with the auto function but have to hold it to go up, the passenger I have to hold to go up & down.

Tried holding it longer & going up & down a few times, also have tried a few other ways that I have googled can't get them to reset.

Thanks for any help

Is it a low spec model?  One-touch down drivers side only is normal if so.

If it used to do this and now has stopped. I would recommend a battery pull. Disconnect the battery for around 20 mins then reconnect.

This should reset it and hopefully get it working again.

Ah right, it hasn't got electric windows in the back but it has got dab, phone connect, sat nav etc with a large centre screen so not sure.

Thought if it went down it must be auto, didn't realise it could be auto down drivers side only.

Thanks

Only had it a week so still figuring things out. Didn't realise it may not have the feature.

Thanks

For safety reasons it's a lot more complicated to have Auto Up on windows encase people get trapped in them.

It can be even worse with electric closing doors 🤣

Haha I have seen this video before 😅

I just assumed all modern cars had it, all of my past cars have, but thankfully never been trapped in them 😅

Indeedy! Tesla have recently recalled in excess of 1 Million cars because they're auto up doesn't work properly and is in danger of injuring 1000s LOL 😄

How to spot a Tesla owner ........

I don't like auto up or down since I trapped a finger in the older type scissor mechanisms from the 1980's . Was trying to slot the mechanism back in its runners and I didn't realise the window had one touch down. It's amazing how much blood can sqwirt out a finger. Still got the scar and numb finger as I cut through the nerves

Think I could get away with  putting 2 claims in as I sliced open another finger with a Stanley knife in the 1990's both occasions I had to have stitches.

The window incident, the Dr at the surgery drove me to a&e as I was making such a mess with blood. Ha ha

God loves a trier 🤣

At least i didn't drill straight through the palm of my hand like the other lad I used to work with did. Had the remove 8mm drill bit from drill chuck and take him to hospital with it stuck through half way.
