Built this 25 odd years ago and made a right mess of it 🥴 so decided to re-make it again, only better this time around.

Re-released 1/24th Italeri Zakspeed Ford Escort RS1800 model kit.

The blue stripping around the boot & spoiler & rear arches is very difficult to get on neatly, great patience is needed 🥵

Added seat belts to the interior, simply made by paper masking tape which is dyed.
Underside black is brush painted but the bodyshell is sprayed on.
Fitted front roll bars, made out of bent/reshaped cocktail sticks.
Engine bay improved by adding an oil tank and piping, fitted plug leads & distributor & ditching the small radiator with a big radiator.
Wheels extended outwards into the arches, the kit axle & front suspension is way too narrow for a race car.
The flat Ford door mirrors scrapped, instead I scratch made aero styled race door mirrors.
The binnet is permanently displayed in the open position.
Lights & indicators are painted in clear colours, not a solid colour, so they look realish! 
Tyres worn down to look abused.

Now to move on and make their Rothmans Rally version 😎
