TPMS Malfunction on Ford Focus

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Hopefully someone can help me?

About 12 months ago I was having some issues with a Tyre sensor. Turns out, whoever had changed my tyre previous had smashed it. As the car is a 2015, I though, I might as well change them all (in case the batteries will be depleted soon) I had already bought a Sensor resetter/trainer so thought id buy 4no new ones and register them myself using my gadget. I checked that the resetter worked on the 3 working sensors I already had in the tyres first. It worked fine. So bought 4 new sensors off amazon (I know) and got them put in my wheels. But my resetter didn't work. I thought, it might be because they are new? thought maybe they need to be programmed in a different way first time? Took them to a tyre shop who said the sensors were on, (ie had power to them) but they don't have the tools to reset an after market sensor. said they thought it might be the communication between the car and the sensor. But if that was the case, how come I can still connect 3 out of 4 of my old ones? then I went to kwik fit who after ten mins of playing around said "all done" said they needed to plug it in because they were after market sensors but they had sorted it. Half way home, same warning I've always got which is "Tyre Sensor Malfunction" They recommended I buy some official ford ones which I've done. So bought 4 more sensors,  My resetter tool doesn't work on these either but again, may not be able to program new sensors.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue please

Thanks in advance ...
