Ford Focus Mk3 car engine dies whilst driving randomly

Featured Replies

When this happens I lose power steering, putting foot on accelerator and nothing is there. Sometime i get the engine malfunction warning, other times nothing. Its an automatic and the screen on the dashboard where it shows PRNDS starts flashing. I have to leave it a minute or two and then the cars starts again and is fine for a few days. It happens sometimes when i have just re fuelled and other times randomly. It has been into a Ford Dealership and when they put it on the computer no errors occur. I am at a loss to what it could be. I rang a local recommended garage who won't touch it as Ford cannot find a fault.

find someone with forscan and look for codes or try live data, its a bit young to poss be cluster fault, or a bad earth.

Might be a blocked fuel filter? When was that last changed?
