Engine Malfunction

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

2014 2.0 tdci ford focus..driving it down motorway yesterday and it popped up on the dash Engine Malfunction Sercive Now. The engine management light isn't on, no power loss or anything. Only the little box with 'i' is lit up. I have plugged in 2 OBD reader's and they have shown no codes.

Doing the cluster test only shows DTC F00616 which I'm led to believe doesn't actually mean much.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions before I have to put it in the garage just to have the code read

Turns out my neighbour had an OBD scanner that can read ford's and we got the following codes

P0100-00 Mass or volume air flow open circuit

P244C-00 Catalyst temperature too low during regeneration, Bank 1

P003A-00 Turbocharger/Supercharger boost control A position exceeded learning limit

I have cleared the faults for now to see which fault reappears when it comes back
