Car alarm

Hi I have a 2007 focus the alarm when off for no reason now my indicator stays on when I take out the key

When you say the indicators remain on, do you mean they stay on solid, or remain flashing? Oh, and alarms always go off for some reason, you may not know the reason, but there will be one LOL

One side flashes and I have to disconnect the battery

Which side flashes, and when it does, have you tried starting the car to see if the immobiliser is still active?

It swaps between sides and works fine  when the car is started

That's my line !! 🤣

Get FORScan and connect up to the OBDII, and see what the alarm is reporting. My guess is that the bonnet switch tripped the Alarm.
