Breakers yards for spare parts

Featured Replies

I live in the Norfolk area and need some spare parts to replace some bits on my car and I was recommended breakers yards for cheaper parts but I don't know of any in my area, don't have to be too close but just looking to know some good locations to hit up.

I have an old mark 6 flame from 2004 with a couple damaged panels and old plastic bits that have worn and broken around the screws.

I have looked but I'd rather get it cheaper at a breakers and have a look for other stuff while I'm there

There aren't many proper breakers yards left that will let you walk around.  Health and safety...

There is (or was) a decent walkaround breaker in Norfolk about 10 years ago but I can't remember the name now.  DJ Spalls in Suffolk used to be good.  And Autobreak down in Colchester.  There's also a Ford specific breaker on ebay and social media that I've heard good things about.

Tbh, I found ebay to be easiest and cheapest from about 2016...

I only know of one scrapyard you can walk around here in Lincolnshire and they make you wear hi-vis. You sometimes get lucky.

Oddly, the wreckage of Pan Am flight 103 is stored there - the one that dropped on Lockerbie in 1988.
