17 Focus Battery Problems

I have a 17 plate Focus St-Line. Recently the battery was replaced as it died on me, however when I pushed the Start-Stop button it would cough once or twice before eventually starting. Not happy with this I took it to my mechanic who suspected a faulty key fob battery, so changed that. Now both the main and spare keys DO NOT UNLOCK the car but do LOCK it for some reason. When I took the blade key out of the fob it unlocked the car but the alarm went off. It then allowed me to start the engine normally and drive home. Parked up and the problem persists now, where the key button will not unlock the car. Anyone any ideas?!
