Ford Sierra 2.0i enige temperature/head gasket

Featured Replies

Hello,

A short time ago they had to replace all 3 sensors for the cooling system of the engine.

Why ?

The temperature meter was not working and neither of the 2 fans did work even after driving for 15 kilometers or even 35 kilometers.

Before they had to replace the sensors the needle of the temperature meter came just above the M from NORM (N on top M on the bottom)

M means cool,    N means be carefully because red is very close.

After replacement the needle end up at the O and driving 25 kilometers between the N and the O.

When I open the hood car the engine is very hot, the hoses are very hot, the radiator car is very hot but no fan is working.

Is this normal ?

The car has driven 395.000 kilometer.

Should I have replaced the head gasket ?

I hope there are people who know more about the questions I have

and I am looking forward to hear from them.

Best regards,

Ko de Groot
