Focus mk3 brake upgrade

Featured Replies

Hello,

In the past I've done some upgrades to the original brakes of my 1.6 tdci.

I've installed ST brakes all around, meaning that I've upgraded the front brakes and converted the rear original drums to disc.

It's braking so much better now, but I have a feeling (both by driving it and measuring temperatures) that rear brakes are braking harder than what would be expected, and after some research I've found it to be due to the drum to disc conversion, which makes sense to me. However people seem to point out the solution to it as being changing a parameter in focccus software but I can't seem so be able to do it, can anyone help me figure that out?

Ps: I have the software on my computer and the modified cable which I've already I'm just unable to figure out what to do regarding the rear brakes conversion.

Thanks

Looking to do this myself and on reading other posts it looks like you have to tell the car it has rear discs with Focccus and then change the brake bias using FORScan.

I might be wrong on this so if anyone wants to add in the correct method then I'f like to know too for when I do this conversion next year!
