Galaxy going into Engine malfunction mode when "D" is selected

Featured Replies

Hi

New to the Form !

I have a 2012 Ford Galaxy 2.0ltr Auto with a problem .

when i drive it in "D" and it comes under pressure going up a hill or trying to pass out it dies down and the Engine malfunction comes on.

Stop up, turn it off, and on again and it clears itself, but the same thing happens again straight away .

If i have it in sports mode it takes a lot more pressure for it to go into limp mode.

I have gotten the gearbox reconditioned as it started to only select 1st , 3rd and 5th ,  but the limp mode still came up on it, they are saying that its not mechanical

It was with a guy who had 3 or maybe 4 laptops and diagnostic tools plugged in but still couldn't find the fault.

The last thing that happened last week was that he thought he had it sorted  ,car running but the minute he put it into "D" the engine malfunction came on.

Any help PLEASE

Thanks
