Focus cc drivers door window module

Featured Replies

My drivers door window began to occasionally not return to the top when it drops and you open the door. To start with it would go up after a little wait and press the up button.....it has now stopped totally working.

Anybody know if I can test the window modules by swapping n/s to o/s? Or is it possible to energise the motor to at least get the window back up?

Currently got a car cover over it as its totally down and won't do anything at all?

Many thanks in advance

Yes.

Remove the door card and unplug the connector for the motor. Connect a temporary 12V supply direct to the motor. One way you connect the wires will make the window go up, and the other way around will make it go down. This is only for emergency use, do not keep the supply connected once the window reaches the top.

I hoped that would be the case...any idea which colour wires need powering?

There are only two wires directly connected to the window motor, the colour is unimportant

Ah ok, looked like more than 2 in the block that I could see.. large grey one?

There will be two large wires, the window motor can take about 30 Amps. If you post a photo of the motor connections I can probably tell you which two are the power.

Sorted.....orange and grey wires are the bigger ones.....window is now up so just need to source a replacement module which seem to be a ***** sight more expensive than any of the other ones!!!

Many thanks 👍🏻
