Wet on passenger floor mat/coming above Focus MK4

Featured Replies

Hi!

It rained today. The drivers seat floor mat is totally dry. The passenger seat floor mat is totally wet.

It is coming somewhere from the above. When removing the protection under the glove compartment I noticed it was slightly wet (despite it stopped raining for 5 hours) on some parts. The car is a Focus 2020 (mk4). I don´t know if I dare to bring the hose tomorrow and put some water on the car to see where the water comes in?

I´ve seen some posts on older Focus on this problem. Hasn´t Ford fixed the problem?
Anyone recognize the problem (on mk4)?

It´s still under warranty so I guess I give Ford a call on Monday and see what they say. But nice to be prepared.....

Just take it back to Ford and let them sort it. Don't worry about the how or why, that's for them to work it out.

Did you get the water leak sorted out, my first ever brand-new car was a Fiesta, it leaked on passenger side, after many attempts to reseal windscreen, they found a pin prick hole in bodywork, hence I bought the Focus.
