Rear Passenger door does not lock Ford Mondeo

Featured Replies

Hi All

  Hope.you are well.

My ford Mondeo rear passenger door does not lock when I lock the car. That's the only door which does not engage with the lock.. All remaining 3 doors seem to lock during the remote key fob.

There is  no error or warning on the EPU dashboard and I am unable to figure out the reason.. I have also remove the child lock on the door but to no avail.

Can someone please guide how to investigate the problem?

You havent said what year mondeo.

With the car unlocked, there used to be a basic test for the door actuators, if you open and fully close the drivers door in quick successions eventually  it should make a loud beep, it will then beep everytime you open any door, if your faulty door doesnt beep then either the actuator is faulty or wire going to it.

If it does beep it could still be the actuator faulty but if it doesn't then clearly there is a fault.
