Digital Dash Help - Clutch and Hill Symbol?

Hi all, looking for a little help here. On my display I often get this symbol appearing when I'm driving and I cannot figure out what it does. The built in manual on Sync4 is outdated since its gauge doesn't include my digital dash so I'm a little bit lost. 

I'm assuming it has something to do with hill-assist, but why is it appearing when I'm cruising on a flat surface.

    Ah ok this is probably all related to what the GPS sees as up and coming. Thank you very helpful!

    Yeah I never got a paper one and on the Sync 4 screen I only had images of the previous MK4 Focus dash instructions. Not even the digital so I didn't know where to even look to troubleshoot this.
