Active City Stop Not Available

Featured Replies

Hi all. Clutching at straws here because I can't afford a hefty bill at the garage frankly.

A few weeks ago on my wife's 2014 Focus a message displayed on the dash saying 'Active City Stop Not Available' at the same time the ABS light and the traction control light came on. They have since came on every time the car is started and don't go off. I've looked for advice online but haven't found much yet. Hoping someone can help.

Thanks.

Probably one of the abs sensors needs replacing. Get Forscan or a suitable code reader to see what faults are logged.

As Alex has said, probably a faulty ABS wheel sensor which is a common failure.

Download FORScan and read the DTC

As for cost, the actual sensor is about £30 depending on the source... (+ labour!)

I found a line in FoCCCus that says City Safety. So i enabled that line and then i went into the instrument cluster and enabled it there so i have the option to tick the box to turn it on or off. But i get the message just like you did saying Active City Stop Not Available.

Is your car fitted with the forward facing radar ?

You can't turn 'Active City Stop' on unless you have the supporting hardware.
