Blind Spot Detection

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was looking through forscan and noticed some options to enabled Blind Spot detection now if I was to replace the glass mirror would the mirror housing having the connections available?.

I’m not replacing the mirror just for the sake off it the heating element seems to have failed so thought I’d see if this could be done and there is no better forum to ask in 😀.

Sadly not.  It requires extra side sensors, not the same as the parking sensors.

You need the radars in the rear 1/4s too. And the wiring will not be supported in either the cabin or the door harnesses

Just another question just tell me to shut up if you want 🤣.

Ive been looking on auto trader at the same year focuses and from what I can see they have 4 sensors only in the back mine has 6 sensors 4 on the back 2 on the side are these just for the parking ?

Yes. Now shut up !! 🤣

The side sensors on yours are for the automatic parking feature.  (Park Assist).

Models with 4 sensors only have Park Pilot, which just beeps and gives a display.
