Remap software

Featured Replies

Hi.
Any recommendations on remap software.
more importantly any to avoid.

i dont mind paying .

Thanks in advance

Hi @Baggpuss

I’ve looked into this quite a bit. Ford used to recommend Mountune but they no longer support it officially. I have been told it would void any current warranty also.

That being said, Mountune does tend to be the best overall - easy to upgrade the car and all done via your smartphone

(Should add not on commission or a paid sponsor, just good kit)

Ah ok that makes things a little easier. The Mountune kit plugs into the cars Data port (normally somewhere near the dash) and then you load the app on your smartphone.

The instructions are very easy to follow, plus Mountune support is pretty good. Failing that, myself or someone on here would be more than willing to help. However Mountune only really supports performance models but not 100% sure they will work on normal models.

I used to use Galletto & MPPS for older ECU's (EDC15 generally).

Nowadays I think Kess is more widely recommended.
