Ford Focus start stop switch light.

Featured Replies

Good Day Everone,

I have a 2012 1.6 diesel Focus which has recently had a new clutch master cylinder fitted, on the way home i noticed that the start stop switch was illuminated so pressing the switch would not extinguish the light. I had took the car back a few days later for a service and the garage would have a look to see what why the light stayed on but didn't have enough time to look further than a quick reset. So when i started up the engine the light came on again. so its now booked in for this fault. But in the meantime does anyone know why when the ignition is switched on without the engine running i can turn the light on and off as normal but as soon as the engine is started the light comes on and stays on until you turn off the engine. Any help with this fault would be appreciated.

Regards,

Arthur.

The clutch switch may have been damaged during the MC change.
