Ford Focus Mk2.5 Deadlock part numbers?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

After a recent break-in, i'm looking to upgrade my door locks to deadlocks, considering their cost from breakers is now negligible (i understand it's probably a vanity project).

I've looked at the finis numbers, but i'm unable to find their actual part numbers, and to confuse things futher, breakers will claim some locks have deadlock, whereas others will say theirs don't, even though they both look identical and have the same part numbers.

I was under the impression that all UK cars had deadlocks, but some might have had them disabled. Is this right?

Additionally, taking the rear passenger door as an example, I've come across two part numbers (4M5A-A26413-EE & 4M5A-R26413-EE) for the facelift model. Is one of them the one with deadlock and the other without?

Same for driver rear (4M5A-A26412-EE & 4M5A-R26412-EE)

It would be great if someone could provide the part numbers for all 4 doors.

Thanks in advance

I thought all UK Mk2.5s had deadlocks as well.  Are you sure yours hasn't?

There is a lot of choice in door modules on the parts catalogue.  This is just fronts.

All UK models had deadlock IF they had remote locking.

No remote, just central locking.

When you arm the car you need to press lock twice, once to activate central locking and perimeter alarm (If fitted) and twice to activate deadlocks and interior intrusion sensors (If fitted)

Also worth mentioning that on our 2010 Mk2.5 the indicators only flash (twice) when deadlocking is activated, i.e. only on second press of the remote lock button. There's no flash on first press and one long flash when unlocking. I don't know if that's standard for this model but ours has always been that way.

Thanks all, worth mentioning mine is an EU (LHD) car which unfortunately came without deadlocks.

I've gone through 7zap, but it only shows the finis numbers and not the actual part numbers, so I was hoping someone might have access to ecat/microcat to check their description.

One other advantage that you get from deadlocks (I think) is you can lock the car with the remote while the doors are still open. You then shut the doors and they remain locked. On mine, if you try locking the doors while they are open, they unlock immediately.

Get the registration number of a UK spec MK2.5 Zetec and above, non passive entry, take that to a dealer and they will give you the part number of the latches, but you will probably find your door harnesses do not support, or even the cabin harness and the GEM

Not sure that's an advantage.  If you accidentally drop the key in the boot or backseat it'll get locked in.

Agreed, it's a risk, but I have this on our VW and I find it quite useful when unloading the family, so i don't forget to lock it afterwards.
