I have damaged my ECU so wish to chang it. I bought a spare one with the Passenger Fuse box and Key transponder,  do I need any thing else to make it work with out recoding etc.

The yard that sold me the kit admits now Mk1 focus thats all you need but later Mks you need the instument panel as well. I also suspect there is another unit needed that I think fits in the driver side door hinge panel.

I did think I would have got a response on this but I suppose its an old vehicle and not so popular now.

Do you mean you are changing the GEM, under the glovebox?

If so, it will be OK, providing it works OK, you will need to download and install the original configuration and install to the new GEM using FORScan, then you will need to programme the remotes.

The Keys are programmed into the instrument cluster, so don't worry about that
